Players Code of Conduct

The Middleton Youth Lacrosse Club (MYLC) follows the USA Lacrosse Player Code of Conduct to ensure a fair, safe, and positive experience for everyone. This code is a set of rules that asks you to show respect to teammates, coaches, referees, and opponents; learn and follow the rules of lacrosse; demonstrate good sportsmanship; and be gracious whether you win or lose. It also means avoiding negative behaviors such as using bad language, criticizing others, using drugs or alcohol, or fighting or threatening anyone involved in the game.

The purpose of the code is to promote honesty, respect, and integrity in lacrosse, focusing on your growth and safety rather than just winning. This helps create a welcoming environment where you can enjoy the sport and build skills.

If you do not follow the code, consequences may include being removed from a game or practice, reporting the issue to club leaders, or being responsible for any damage or injuries caused. All players sign the code to commit to these standards and to agree to the importance of following them.
