Our Mission
Middleton Youth Lacrosse Club (MYLC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to introducing and growing the sport of lacrosse among youth in the Middleton-Cross Plains Area School District. We follow the guidelines of USA Lacrosse, the Wisconsin Lacrosse Federation, and the Badgerland Lacrosse Association to provide a safe, sportsmanlike environment that emphasizes skill development, teamwork, and fun. Our goal is to create balanced opportunities for players of similar age, size, and ability, fostering a "level playing field" where every child can build confidence, make friends, and develop a lifelong love for the game.
Our Programs
MYLC serves approximately 200 athletes across seven age-group programs for boys and girls, from ages 6 to 14:
- Boys: 8U, 10U, 12U, and 14U.
- Girls: 10U, 12U, and 14U.
Programs focus on age-appropriate fundamentals, from basic skills like cradling and passing in introductory levels to advanced strategies and high school preparation in older groups. Practices and games emphasize positive experiences, with balanced teams, equal playing time where applicable, and opportunities for additional tournaments in 12U and 14U when rosters allow. We prioritize inclusivity, offering scholarships for registration and equipment to ensure financial barriers do not prevent participation.
Our Values and Commitments
At MYLC, we are guided by principles of respect, integrity, and community. Our Codes of Conduct for players, families, and coaches promote sportsmanship, prohibit harassment or discrimination, and encourage positive behavior on and off the field. Safety is paramount, with policies on concussions, weather, and health protocols in place. We also support volunteer involvement, sponsorships, and donations to keep costs low and fund facilities, equipment, clinics, and outreach efforts—all of which stay 100% within the program for the benefit of our athletes.
